The vision of the Greenspoint Chapter is to benefit our members through monthly networking along with professional development and to promote their career success through continuing education, recognition and leadership in the Greenspoint and Greater Houston communities.

Scholarship Opportunities
ABWA

ABWA Greenspoint Chapter is currently offering two scholarships funded through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Fund.

1. Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund - Outright Grant Program (ORG) - $2,000)

Applications are currently being accepted for one $2,000 Scholarship Grant sponsored by the Greenspoint Chapter of ABWA. The Outright Grant Program offers grants for tuition, books and fees up to a maximum of $2,000 for women who are seeking funds to be used at the junior level or above at an accredited college or university in the U.S.

Applicant Eligibility Requirements Female U.S. citizen Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours The applicant must be seeking a baccalaureate degree or higher Open to ABWA members or relatives and non-ABWA members Must be attending an institution authorized to confer degrees at the baccalaureate level or higher in the U.S An applicant may NOT apply for more than one ORG in the same award year with a different sponsoring league. Deadline for completing applications is March 31, 2016.

2. Business Skills Tuition Reimbursement

The SBMEF Business Skills Tuition Reimbursement Program (BSTR) provides working women an opportunity to participate in professional development workshops and/or seminars offered by an accredited, licensed, or state-approved institution in the United States.

ABWA-Greenspoint has $250.00 allocated for the Business Skills Tuition Reimbursement Scholarship for the 2015-2016 Awards year. Deadline for completing applications is August 1, 2016.
