March 01, 2016
This year the league held its election for the 2016 Woman of the Year on February 17th. It was a unanimous vote that Lenore Lindsay, the current Treasurer, was awarded this prestigious recognition for her hard-work and imitative of keeping the chapter together during some rough tides in the beginning of this term. Ms. Lindsay has been a member of ABWA since 2013 and during this time, she has been the Treasurer, the Vice President, and Treasurer for second time. Through her ABWA journey, Lenore has gained vital knowledge and support of the sisterhood. She has been able to build her confidence level to be more vocal in both her work and leadership positions within her league. Outside of ABWA, Ms. Lindsay is the Office Manager at a local CPA firm where she has been employed for 15 years. In addition, Lenore has been a member of the Junior League for multiple years and is now a sustaining member. She was the cookbook treasurer and chair during her membership with Junior League. For fun, Lenore enjoys reading, hanging out with her family and friends, and enjoys an occasional glass of Riesling. She has two daughters that are both grown and live outside of the area. In the past year, Lenore adopted a rescued Basenji lab mix puppy, which has filled her life with lots of joy and happiness. We applaud our sister, Lenore Lindsay, for her continuous support and dedication!
