The 26th annual MLK Educational and Scholarship Event will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Nominations for award recipients is open and the deadline for submission is September 7, 2018. There will awards presentation, honor recognition, guest speakers, guest commentator silent auctions, 50/50 raffle drawing and door prizes. Theme: Who is Keeping the Dream Alive?

The Golden Royalties Chapter of the American Business Women's Association presents the 26th Annual, Dr. Martin Luther King Educational and Scholarship Event Fundraiser on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at The Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza, 45th & Main, KCMO. The cost is $40.00.

IMPACT SCHOLARSHIP RELEASE

Golden Royalties Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will offer 2 impact Scholarships to deserving women of color students in Kansas and Missouri.

Eligible female applicants should live in Kansas or Missouri, who are attending an accredited college, University, or Trade School. The Golden Royalties Chapter of the American business Women's Association (ABWA) is offering two Impact scholarships: one work $2,000 and the other $1,000 both funded through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund.

Each year, local chapters of ABWA provide Stephen Bufton Memorial Scholarships (SBMEF) to female students who are attending accredited U.S. colleges, universities, or area vocational/trade schools. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher and must provide three character reference letters including their contact information (preferably) from recent instructors, counselors, ministers or recent employers).

Applications must be completed by March 31, 2018 at www.sbmef.org. A minimum of six (6) eligible completed applications are required in order for the scholarship to be awarded. The scholarship recipient(s) will be notified in May, 2018. If scholarship is approve, your attendance is required at the Business Associate Scholarship Event on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Poisinelli Law Firm in Kansas City.
