Guest Speaker: Dr. Roselyn Aker-Black, Psy. D. Professional Development Module on Effective Communication: Conflict Resolution "How to Disagree Without Being Disagreeable" Join us for networking, lunch and a dynamic presentation. Dr. Roz, a graduate of Fisk University and Argosy University, is an award-winning psychologist and has over 12 years of experience in providing psychological services to children, families, and couples in the nonprofit, government, and private industry sectors. She also serves as a psychology professor at local universities in the DC area.

The Oxon Hill Charter Chapter is a professional women's organization, devoted to building interpersonal relations and dedicated to the growth and development of women, both personally and professionally. Further, we are inspired to provide them with hands-on skills development, encouragement and guidance that is beneficial for all women interested in achieving success in this society.

Scholarship Opportunities

Congratulations to Oxon Hill Charter Chapter's 2018 Impact Scholarship Winner, Kimberly Rains.

She received a $2,000 scholarship and will be attending Norfolk State University. Also attending was Gabrielle Awkard, who was one of the six finalist. She will be attending Hampton University. Both young ladies received a certificate from Oxon Hill Charter Chapter as well as an ABWA membership.

Our guest speaker was Dr. Carletta Marrow. Her speech was well received by our students, as well as members and guests.
