The Oxon Hill Chapter is presenting the Claire Stephens Woman of the Year Award with the theme of "Embracing the Extraordinary" at the Harborside Hotel in Oxon Hill, MD on May 19, 2018. The annual event, which includes dinner, festivities and presentations, names an award recipient that exemplifies the values of service, leadership and community activism. ABWA members, family, friends, supporters and friends are welcome to attend.

League Vision Statement

The Oxon Hill Charter Chapter is a professional women's organization, devoted to building interpersonal relations and dedicated to the growth and development of women, both personally and professionally. Further, we are inspired to provide them with hands-on skills development, encouragement and guidance that is beneficial for all women interested in achieving success in this society.

Scholarship Opportunities

Congratulations to Oxon Hill Charter Chapter's 2017 Impact Scholarship Winner, Danielle F. Jackson. She is a graduate of Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Maryland. She has been a three-year member of the National Honor Society and a member of the varsity girls lacrosse team for two years. Danielle has been an active Girl Scout since the age of 6 and enjoys serving and volunteering in the community. Danielle aspires to become an Information Security Analyst. She will be attending Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland in the Fall of 2017, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Cybersecurity.
