Program: This month we welcome Kathi Koenig on Taxes Are Not Something to Snicker About. Learn some tips and tricks to help you navigate your taxes for 2016. Taxes are changing as is your situation both in business and personally. I will be talking about different tax planning tips that will give people ideas of ways they could save taxes for their business and/or themselves.
Kathi is a partner with the accounting firm, McGowen, Hurst, Clark & Smith, P.C., one of the largest local firms in Central Iowa with offices in West Des Moines and Winterset. Kathi has been with MHC&S for 30 years, providing expertise in business consulting and tax planning for businesses and their owners, with an area of concentration in healthcare and women owned businesses.
Kathi is a member of several organizations including the American Society of CPAs, the Iowa Society of CPAs, National Association of Women Business Owners, The Womens Reciprocity Breakfast Club and the Joy Club. She is on the NonProfit Boards for the Corporation of Economic Development, HOME Inc, and the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault..
Kathis greatest satisfaction from her work is to help give clients peace of mind, minimize their taxes, eliminate any surprises and give them the information and guidance to make good business decisions.
