Since its inception in 1953, ABWA has recognized hundreds of women for the coveted award; intended to underscore a members professional accomplishments (career advancement and academic achievement), contributions to her community and engagement in ABWA.
Jen Childress has demonstrated her commitment to ABWA and the Community by serving as President and in other positions for both the West Des Moines Chapter and the Des Moines Area Council. Jen has also served at the National level of ABWA as a District Vice President. Jen works as a Health Coach Coordinator for Federal Occupational Health and also owns her own personal training and health consulting company, Patina Espril.
Since becoming a member of ABWA in 2008, Jen has grown both personally and professionally. As Jen has moved through her various roles in ABWA, she has developed her communication skills, leadership skills and self-confidence. She has shared her enthusiasm for ABWA and brought several members into ABWA at the local and national levels. In 2014, she completed the ABWA Park University Women as 21st Century Leaders Program, as part of the first graduating class.
Congratulations Jen on this achievement and we hope to hear your name read as one of the National ABWA Top Ten Candidates.
