Now I am finding inspiration and confidence to step out and pursue a dream of my own—all because of ABWA.”
I am a Secretary for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. I have been with them for 26 years. I enjoy working with my team since I learn a good deal of information and I like working with people. I am glad that I found ABWA and all the interesting people that I have met and all the things that I get to experience. ABWA is like my second family to me. I have a daughter who is 19 and she keeps me busy and I like to spend time with her as well as others.
I retired from GE in 1999. I went to work in 1975 for Montgomery Ward Credit, then Monogram Retailers, Credit Service, Inc., and finally General Electric Credit Corp. When I joined ABWA in 1982, I was a very shy person, but through Regional Conferences and National Conventions, I learned various leadership & communication skills that helped me in various positions at GE. I received several recognition awards at GE as well as fun company trips with spouses to Cancun, New Orleans and Orlando. I am so thankful for all the friends & learning experiences made thru ABWA.
