The Quincy Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association Recognizes Protégé and Woman of the Year

Quincy IL – Each year the Quincy Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) recognizes two proteges and one woman of the year recipients. The protégé is new to the organization and is actively engaged with local chapter. The woman of the year is someone who has been with the chapter for a few years, has held an office, is growing in her career, and gives back to the community. This year our protégé recipients are Caitlin Foss and Jessica Speckhart, and our woman of the year is Sarah Nolinwinkler.

Caitlin Foss jumped in with both feet as soon as she joined our Chapter in June of last year. She stepped up to be a speaker right after she joining. She serves on the Fundraising Committee and as the OMG (Other Than Mardi Gras) Coordinator. Caitlyn exhibits skills of a natural born leader and continues to lead by example. She has poured her heart into our chapter and her laugh and smile are infectious. Caitlyn is the Business Development Manager at CLEAN Restoration and with her husband David is a proud parent of two amazing boys. We thank Cait for stepping up and being one of our 2024 Protégé recipients.

Jessica Speckhart has opened her family’s entertainment venue to our organization. Even with the multiple facets she plays for her family’s business, she attends meetings regularly, and always has a positive outlook and her smile brightens the room. She has shown great growth and potential. She is eager to step in and help when and where ever she can. Jessica is the Venue Coordinator at Pointe D’Vine Vineyard and Venue, and her and her husband Aaron have three young children with a new addition due soon.

Sarah Nolinwinkler has been an active member of our chapter since joining us in April 2021. She has served on the Fundraising Committee, and as chapter Secretary, she streamlined the way the minutes were written and created an updated template for future use. As President, she has listened to members and addressed growing concerns by initiating a mid-year survey that gave all members an opportunity to voice their ideas for growing our chapter. Sarah is an amazing nurse and has grown in her career, from facing personal trauma to helping those with cancer navigate their journey. Sarah is a compassionate and caring nurse and has been featured several times by her Quincy Medical Group for her accomplishments and the way she sees her role in cancer care as a calling.Sarah has been actively involved with Special Olympics for many years. She has been a coach and cheerleader for those with disabilities. She also volunteers for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Adams County, and passionately reminds our members to screen for breast cancer. She is a mom to two delightful children who are the center of her world.
